By creating an account or using the bRent mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
bRent is a peer-to-peer rental marketplace that connects people who own items ("Lenders") with people who want to borrow them ("Borrowers"). bRent acts solely as a platform facilitator and is not a party to any rental transaction between users.
Lenders are responsible for ensuring their items are accurately described, in safe working condition, and available during the listed period.
Borrowers are responsible for returning items on time, in the same condition as received (normal wear and tear excepted), and paying all associated fees.
Lenders may offer percentage discounts for rentals of 7 or more days. Discounts are applied automatically at checkout and reflected in the payment breakdown.
Both parties are required to upload condition photos at pickup and return. These photos serve as evidence in case of disputes regarding item condition.
You may not list: firearms, hazardous chemicals, illegal substances, stolen property, or any item prohibited by applicable law. You may not use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
In the event of a dispute between a Lender and Borrower, both parties should attempt to resolve the issue directly via in-app messaging. bRent may, at its sole discretion, mediate disputes and make final determinations regarding deposit releases or refunds.
bRent may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App. Termination does not affect any obligations arising from transactions completed before termination.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, bRent shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or loss of income.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
